Sobuj Gram expands into eight new primary schools, with student-led plantings starting this monsoon.
The Sobuj Gram tree-planting initiative has expanded into eight additional primary schools across coastal Barisal. Each school will run a native-species nursery on its own grounds, with plantings beginning at the start of this year's monsoon.
Students lead monitoring patrols, learn species identification, and track survival rates over three years.
We aim to add another 4,000 saplings to the 12,000 already planted across the program.
